Christy – Front Desk

I am a military wife and a mom of two young men I adore. I grew up in the Midwest, but now I enjoy living in North Carolina. I love dogs, and I would have a million if my husband would let me.

I was a client before I came to work at Willow Grove Animal Clinic. Seeing how much they love and care for animals made my decision about working here simple!

The best part of my job is helping you care for your best friend, no matter its shape or size. Assisting people to feel comfortable and relaxed every time they visit is something I genuinely enjoy. However, knowing we offer the best care we can to every client and their pet is what puts a big smile on my face.

Outside of the office, I try to live my life by something my grandfather told me when I was a child: “If that was the worst thing to happen to you all day, you’re doing pretty good.” I’m a book and a music lover. Nothing helps me relax more than a well-written book and some classic rock.

Tammy – Office Manager

I’m blissfully married with two grown children, two dogs, and two cats. I have an associate degree in Animal Science and Poultry and Livestock Technology. Plus, I have vast experience working as a veterinary assistant, receptionist, and now as an office manager.

I’ve been part of the team at Willow Grove Animal Clinic since 2002.

I entered this field because I’ve always enjoyed working with and helping animals and their owners. Being employed here for so long, I feel I’ve come to know our clients like family, and that makes me extremely happy.

The aspect I enjoy the most about my work is building trustworthy relationships with everyone who comes in. Getting to know your pets and your family on a personal level is what makes us unique and helps us give the guidance and support you both need.

In my spare time, I enjoy hunting and fishing. I also love traveling with my family. In fact, one item on my bucket list is to visit Hawaii with my loved ones.

Lori – Animal Caretaker

I was born and raised in Connecticut. I come from a small family of just me and my two brothers. I went to a two-year college, where I met my future husband, and we’ve been happily married for more than 40 years. We have a son named Jeremy and two amazing dogs, Cinnamon and Pepper.

I always believed there was something unique about how I interacted with animals, and as I grew older, I realized I had found my passion. I feel fortunate to work with all kinds of animals and provide them with the love and care they deserve.

Although my passion for animals drives me to be the best at what I do, I also adore the fantastic group of people I work alongside. Our team is amazing!

Outside of the practice, my hobbies include playing Bingo, hunting, going to the beach, and playing games on the computer.

Emily – Veterinary Assistant

I’ve lived in Greenville, NC since starting middle school and look forward to starting a family here.

Animals have always had a special place in my heart, and I am so glad they are a part of my daily life. I’m thankful and blessed to be able to say I am in a career that I love.

The best part of my job is building relationships with families and your furry companions. Even if it’s a one-time visit, I do my best as a healthcare provider to give you the best experience and a feeling of comfort.

In my spare time, traveling to new places and exploring mother nature are things I genuinely love. I also enjoy art, music, and dancing. One fun and interesting fact about me is that I can wiggle my ears!

Brooke – Veterinary Assistant

I’m originally from Walstonburg, NC. I’m happily married to my college sweetheart, whom I met in South Carolina. I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and a minor in Biology. Nowadays, I now live in Farmville, NC with my loving husband and our two dogs and two cats.

I chose this profession because I’ve had numerous pets throughout my life. The affection I felt for them made me fall in love with the veterinary field from a very young age.

I enjoy the day-to-day challenges my job brings, but above all, I love being able to connect with you (as an owner) through our shared affection for your pet(s). I believe my compassionate nature makes it easier for you and your pet to feel comfortable around me.

When I’m not working on a weekend, I love going to our house on Pamlico Sound to enjoy the  sun, water, and water toys.

Breanna – Veterinary Assistant

I am originally from Washington, NC, but now live in Snow Hill, NC. My family lives in various locations, so for me, it’s always a pleasure when we’re all able to meet for family events.

I choose a career in the veterinary field because I’ve always loved animals. I remember as a little girl begging my mother to allow us to have a farm! Also, I’ve always felt motivated to help and uplift others in any way I can. Therefore, having a job involving both animals and helping others seemed like a perfect fit for me.

The best part of my job is seeing the positive progress our animals make. Whether that involves helping a sick animal get stronger and healthier or just seeing a puppy or kitten grow into their unique personality. It always makes me so happy to be part of their story.

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my black Labrador, photography, and shopping!

Will – Veterinary Technician

I received my degree in Veterinary Medical Technology with honors from Nash Community College. Nash’s VMT program started in 2018 and I was a member of the inaugural class. Now that I’ve graduated, I am continuing to study for the VTNE, the national board exam for the status of Registered Veterinary Technician.

Prior to joining the Nash VMT program, I spent 20 years in the financial services industry. I worked for the same company through two mergers and name changes. I always joke if anyone wrote a book about my life, the title would be “From Banking to Barking.”

For fun, I like to attend concerts, go to movies (especially those about dogs and horses), listen to music, and read books. My favorite movies are the Star Wars series. I also enjoy attending Carolina Hurricanes hockey games.

I am super excited to start my career here at Willow Grove. I plan on being an integral member of the team for many years. I truly admire Dr. Morphis and can definitely learn a lot from her. I have a dog named Daisy that I rescued from the Nash Animal Shelter and enjoy spending time with her.

The staff was amazing! They treated our baby just like he was their own. He is already feeling better, and we just left the office 10 minutes ago. I highly recommend Willow Grove Animal Clinic!

Treating Your Pet Like Family

Your animals are in safe hands at the Willow Grove Animal Clinic.

We know pets quickly become part of your family (and ours too!). We’ve made it our purpose to honor that special relationship whenever you visit our clinic.

Dr. Susan has created a unique experience where our team’s love for animals is translated into every treatment and service. Whether they need a “good boy” or a quick belly rub, we’ll ensure they stay calm and can feel our genuine concern.

What’s more, we enjoy playing around with your puppy and cuddling with your kitten to help them (and you) feel safe and sure that they can trust us.

We are the most compassionate, fun, and loving veterinary family in Farmville, NC!
