Meet Dr. Susan Morphis
Providing trusted care rooted in community for over 30 years to Farmville, NC, and the surrounding areas.
For over 30 years, Dr. Susan Morphis has been dedicated to empowering pet caregivers in Farmville, NC. Her journey has come full circle. Dr. Morphis began her veterinary career at Willow Grove Animal Clinic in 1990, and just five years later, she purchased the practice. Here, she chose to lay down her roots, raise a family, and grow alongside the community she loves.
“As I began my career, I realized how important it was to explain to people what their pets needed and to offer the best,” she says. “Our job is to offer the best, and it’s the pet owner’s job to make the choices that work for them.”
That belief has shaped Willow Grove into more than just a veterinary hospital. “I just wanted it to be more than a job,” she explains. “We want to be a part of your pet’s journey from the start to the end, and help in any way we can.”
As your neighbor, veterinarian, and friend, Dr. Morphis is a familiar face you can count on for honest answers, flexible options that fit your family’s needs, and even a bit of “chit chat” when you stop in.
Originally from Liberty, NC, Dr. Morphis (known by many as “Dr. Susan”) always loved and felt a deep connection with animals. After graduating from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she followed her heart to Farmville, where she fell in love with Willow Grove and knew it was the place she was meant to grow.
Today, Dr. Susan continues to live in Farmville with her husband, Eric, and their beloved fur babies. Her four sons are now grown and pursuing their own life journeys, with two living nearby and two making their homes in Kannapolis and King, NC.
With a lifelong passion for caring for animals and their families, Dr. Susan has built Willow Grove Animal Clinic into a trusted, compassionate home for generations of pets.

Meet Dr. Cynthia Turner
Originally from Clayton, NC, Dr. Turner has always felt a deep connection with animals. After earning both her undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from North Carolina State University, she followed her lifelong passion into veterinary medicine. “I’ve loved animals from a very young age,” she says. “I wanted to give a voice to those who can’t speak for themselves, to help stop pain and bring relief.”
For Dr. Turner, the best part of being a veterinarian is caring for pets who are truly members of the family. She is known for her compassionate, attentive approach, and one of her greatest strengths is listening closely to her patients and their people to understand each pet’s needs fully.
Dr. Turner has been a familiar face at Willow Grove for many years, often stepping in to support Dr. Morphis and the team. Her presence brings comfort and continuity to the clients who know and trust her. “The best part of my job is building relationships and being a part of the bond between pets and their families.”
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Turner enjoys life with her three children, her two daughters and one son, who keep her busy and bring her endless joy. Whether she’s with her family or her patients, Dr. Turner’s caring, compassionate nature shines through in everything she does.
