Emergencies and urgent health concerns can be frightening and overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. At Willow Grove Animal Clinic, our team is here to help guide you through the next steps when your pet suddenly isn’t doing well.

What to Do in an Emergency

If you believe your pet may be experiencing an emergency, please call us right away at 252-753-2611. We will talk through what’s happening and help you decide the safest next step.

Depending on the situation, we may recommend bringing your pet directly to Willow Grove for immediate care, or we may guide you to one of the nearby 24-hour emergency hospitals better equipped for advanced treatment.

Because our clinic is doctor-led and not a large emergency facility, there are times when a pet’s condition is best handled at a 24/7 hospital, especially if Dr. Morphis is already in surgery or unavailable at that moment. A quick phone call ensures your pet gets to the right place without losing precious time.

Urgent Care & Same-Day Appointments
Not every situation is life-threatening, but some concerns still need attention the same day. We do our best to work urgent cases into our daily schedule. If your pet needs urgent care but it’s not a true emergency, call us to see if we can provide a same-day appointment or arrange for a drop-off.

I've been taking my dog, Skeeter, to Willow Grove to get treated for heartworms and hookworms, and they have taken great care of him and me! He is a shy dog, but they treat him as well as they possibly can and make him as comfortable as they can. Dr. Susan is a great veterinarian!
